The Bangor classes are held at the International  Academy of Chiropractic Acupuncture home office meeting facility and are in conjunction with Maine Chiropractic Association!

************The Maine Board of Chiropractic Examiners requires all Doctors of Chiropractic who wish to learn and practice Acupuncture in their clinics must complete 200 hours of hands on in class hours of education. They also stipulate that the second hundred hours be of advanced training and not a repeat of the first hundred hours. This must be documented through a certifying document with the recognized and accepted instructional program and institution.

Doctors receive a special rate of $550.00 per 25 hour weekend if they are a member of MCA! Plus $100 of each doctors module will be donated back to MCA every module!

Special room rates have been negotiated at the Holliday Inn, Odlin Road, Bangor. This facility is 5-7 minutes from our educational center.

Normal room rates are $169.95 per night. Ask for IACA special room rate of $94.95 per night for 2009!

The hotel has been completely renovated and each guest room has all new furnishings and amenities including a refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. The hotel has a full service restaurant and lounge, indoor and outdoor pools, Gold's Gym and complimentary high speed wireless internet access! Phone number: 207-947-0101. 

Classes are taught in 25 hour modules. Registration opens at 11 A.M.  and classes are on Friday from 12:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M., Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until 7:30 P.M. and Sunday from 8:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. 

License renewal hours are available for as little as 1 or as many as 25 hours through Logan College of Chiropractic Post Graduate Department.

The Bangor program license renewal hours and the IACA program are directly accepted by the Maine Board of Chiropractic Examiners. A transcript will be provided upon request.

***The Basic 100 is designed to give the attendee a fundamental grasp of acupuncture and Oriental medicine including the meridians/channels, Chinese diagnosis and treatment principles, point locations, needling techniques and non invasive techniques, electro treatment (invasive and non invansive), moxabustion, non piercing needle treatment, conditions and protocols and Clean Needle Technique. This series focuses on the easy to learn and initiate into your practice Japanese style of acupuncture. This series also focuses on the foundation and practice of five element style acupuncture and passage of the NBCE examination.




ADVANCED 200 (Level 2)- 
(25 Hour Weekends Over 4 Monthly Modules)

2011:

February 11-13 (Module 1), March 11-13 (Module 2), April 15-17 (Module 3), May 13-15 (Module 4)

(Comprehensive 200 Hour Exam)
(Receive IACA Fellowship)

***The Advanced program is designed to further grasp the foundations and principles of "TCM" (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and its effective application for over 1500 known and documented conditions. More emphasis is placed on the precise location of acupuncture points and on needle techniques for each and every acupuncture point including depth of insertion, angle of treatment and cautionary procedures, traditional examination including tongue diagnosis, pulse diagnosis, moxabustion techniques, facial rejuvination, 8 extra vessel diagnosis and treatment, 8 diagnostic criteria, yin/yang principles, classical Chinese diagnostic patterns for each meridian and condition and much, much more!

***Requirements- Must have completed and passed the Basic 100. We accept the following Basic 100 hour programs to enter our advanced program. Drs. Yennie, Amaro, Sunderlage and all programs taught at or through CCE accredited schools.
Presentation of certificate required for acceptance and attending the 200 Hour advanced program.



Graduate 300 (Level 3) 

(25 Hour Weekend Over 4 Monthly Modules)


2011:

June 10-12 (Module 1), July 15-17 (Module 2), August 12-14 (Module 3), September 16-18 (Module 4) 

(Receive the coveted IACA Diplomate)

***The Graduate program goes deep into the root of Chinese Medicine including a complete herbal foundation, utilization of single and compounded herbal formulas, Taoist treatment of the neck, back, spine and extremities for immediate relief of pain, Taoist treatment of the upper, middle and lower jiao, Taoist treatment of "Knotty" (difficult to treat) diseases, Taoist treatment of degenerative, chronic diseases and internal diseaes, Taoist treatment of cancer, aids, etc. Diagnosis and effective treatment of gynecological conditions including infertility. Diagnosis and effective treatment of male disorders. 

***Requirements- Must have completed and passed  the Basic 100 and Advanced 200.
